Lowcountry Thunderstorm

In the lowcountry, you can almost set your watch by the summer thunderstorms. This was so much fun to paint. Its big, for me anyway...18x24. I listened to Natalie Merchant and painted all afternoon. This will be in our Charleston Artists Collective Show on October 21th. I might work on it a little more.

Sally's Yard

Sally has the most beautiful yard around. She also grows her own vegatables, paddle boards, and is a gourmet cook who likes to make big fabulous dinners for all her friends at the last minute. Oh, and did I mention? She's beautiful...and nice. She's a classic.

View From the Shade

This was painted at the Vanderhorst Mansion on Kiawah Island. The setting is phenomenal. A formal-ish garden amidst the natural beauty of a lowcountry marsh. There is a pool there too but I opted to edit it out. The majestic palms complete the view...from the shade.
